A question about pearls. Elizabethan Pearls Make.?

I was given a beautiful box with a three strand string of pearls. the clasp and necklace itself is beautiful and i love them. My lovely nana gave them to me and I was wondering if anybody on YA knew anything about Elizabethan Pearls. there is one like them on ebay and some of the same make in car boot sales but I have never seen them with the same clasp and have only ever seen two (including mine) still in the both. My nana is in her 80's. thank in advance. picture here of the ones on ebay

I presume that you want to know if they are real (the ebay seller thinks not) and how much they're worth?

Take them into a local jeweller's shop - not a chain - and say you are thinking of getting them cleaned, but you don't know if they're worth it. They should then be able to tell you if they are real and give you a rough idea of how much they're worth.

If they are real, they should also tell you that the pearls themselves shouldn't be cleaned, just the clasp, because the best way to make sure that pearls keep their lustre is to wear them.
