Bee sting, never had this reaction before?

Ok, so I've been stung by 5 or 6 bees in my life, and always got a little mosquito bite size swollen area, and a tiny dot where the stinger actually broke my skin. Yesterday I got stung by something bee shaped/sized and it made a circle about the size of a grain of rice that was bright red, like it was internally bleeding or something. I put some baking soda paste on it, as this is what my mother always told me to do, and ignored it. I checked it later and there was a blister where I had been stung, spherical and raised above where I was stung, about the size of a seed pearl. I popped it and moved on, then a little later I got a terrible headache. Then today I woke up to it being very itchy and there is a swollen area the size of a tennis ball around it, and the whole swollen area is hard to the touch. and when its not itchy it aches. What was I stung by?

It is impossible to tell what bit you. Insect bites are very difficult to identify just from the bite. But you should get medical attention. Even though you have been stung by bees before without having an allergic reaction that does not mean you are not allergic. A reaction can get worse each time you are exposed to the allergen. So you should get a medical opinion about this.
