How do I repair screw holes in fiberglass sailboat deck?
3 screws pulled out of a fiberglass sailboat deck, when a mast stay broke and the mast fell. This ripped the mast base screws out and left 3/16" holes. I need to fill the holes and put new screws back in the same place, as these hold the base of the mast and must be very strong and go in the exact same place. How do I repair these holes so I can drill and screw into the same spot?
Marinetex epoxy is very good. Mix it up and fill in the holes. Sand down the area when it is cured. Drill and screw into it. I would say you might consider thru-bolting for a stronger part.
