Reasons Why a Brooch is a Great Christmas Gift for a Woman
Brooches, likely the oldest kind of jewellery, have evolved through the ages as something people needed instead of an embellishment. It's thought that brooches were invented by early man when he began wearing clothing. It was necessary to hold the clothes together, and so long thorns or other organic materials were used as a type of early brooch. Between the 6th century and the 10th century (AD), the Byzantine period era took place. The Christian people also found great success at this (like the Byzantines did). Christian representation worked its way in brooches - hence the famous and decorative Byzantine cross, which even though a portion of devout jewellery, also had a only attractive personality.

Between the ninth to the thirteenth century AD, Ireland made wonderful the storybook Tara brooch.
