What is the biggest earring gauge that will fit in a regular piercing?
So I know a regular piercing is a 22g, but I have some faux gauges that are 18g and I wear them all the time. They don't hurt or feel like they're stretching my ear, so could I wear 16g? Theres a lot earrings I like, but they're 16g and I don't want to spend money on them if I'm just going to have to throw them out.

The regular piercing is actually usually a 20g to a 16g. ( I got mine pierced with a 16g)

I'm at a 4g at the moment and well, I can still wear earrings hahah
I can't wear the earrings with the backings though, because they'd fall right through.
I can, however, wear the hook and ring earrings so 
But yes, you could wear a 16g if you just want the look. It's barely a difference and no one could tell
