Is a "rhodium-plated" necklace a bad Mother's Day gift idea?
Was thinking of getting my Mom this for Mother's Day:

In the info section, it says it is rhodium-plated, meaning if worn a lot, it can wear in color over 2 years, if worn occasionally, it could last 8 to 10 years.
My question is, what are your thoughts on this gift? Is it a bad idea all around?
Any advice is greatly appreciated and thanx in advance!

it's a pretty necklace though i bet your mother will love it. But if you want to look for other choices you can see this site http://www.emitations.com/ they have some special collections for mother's day and you can take a look at it maybe you can get something better. besides the price really not out of your budget.
