8 gauge stretchers from earring piercing?
I know it's going to hurt badly, i dont really care though. I just wanted to know if stretching my ears from an earring pierced hole to an 8 gauge is going to hurt. If I start at a 14 guage I'll have to wait another month with little b!tch looking stretchers.
I meant if it's going to tear. I'm willing to go to 10's first. Bad idea?
Considering that a normal ear piercing is a 20, it is a bad idea and you may even have a blowout or tear the ear. It starts at 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8 etc. So considering that if you wen to 14 you would already be going up 3 sizes, i would highly recommend that you just start at a 16 or a 14, wait for the tissue to heal for a month and then go to a 10 (8 if you really feel the need).
Its worth the time to gauge it correctly rather than just skipping sizes. It will save you a lot of pain and tearing.
going to a 10 at first is still a kinda bad idea. you are risking a tear, which you definitely do not want to have esp when first starting out. i know it takes awhile to stretch them to the size you want and it sucks, but its worth the wait. try starting at a 16 or a 14 at least and then after that maybe skip down to a 10 or 8 if you really really want to.
