In Pokemon Pearl/Diamond/Platinum, what is the best pokemon for Super Contests?

I am trying to get a great pokemon that I am going to raise from an egg and enter into a pokemon super contest. Any suggestions?

there is no such thing as a perfect pokemon for super contests. It's all about how you have raised the pokemon.

You want to give the pokemon you are entering in a competition poffins that will boost it's corresponding stat. To see which stat the berry increases, look at it's tag. Don't worry about maxing out a pokemon's sheen, it will help a lot in contests.
If you have action replay, use the "900 of all berries" cheat.

When a pokemon has the stat that it needs maxed out (ie when it's sheen is max and it can't eat anymore" go to pastoria city. Make sure that the pokemon you are using in contests is in the first slot of your party. If you go to the house on the far left of pastoria city right next to the entrance, the boy inside there will give you a scarf. The scarf he gives you will correspond to the highest stat of the pokemon in your first party, eg. a pokemon with a high smart stat will get a green scarf. Give the scarf to the pokemon before you enter the contests and you'll pick up a few more points.

In the dance round, you can't really cheat. But try and be a tough act to follow, using all four buttons.

Make sure your pokemon has a good moveset so that you can get a lot of points in the next round. Don't just go for simple effects. My favorite effects are moves that double your next turns score. You'll then go first next turn, and if you have a move that gives 2 and another 2 for performing first, you'll have 8 points. Then around another 2 points from a judge, which is 10 points. If you also get the judge's voltage, that's about 15 points, all in two turns!!

Also, get as many acessories as possible. Go to the flower shop in florama, and the massage person in veilstone. In Amity square, your pokemon will pick up an item every 200 steps.
