If you are thinking about traveling to Denmark, one of the greatest destinations you can visit is Copenhagen. One of the things that makes this such a great place to visit is the blend of city life amongst the historical intimate local setting. On the subject of fantasy, Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen is a theme park dedicated to fantasy. This is the previously mentioned oldest running theme park on earth. Tivoli is perfect if you're looking to just stroll along the beautifully lit gardens or if you want feel the adrenaline on one of their crazy rollercoasters.
The royal family lives in Amalienborg Palace. This is a spectacular destination to visit because not only can you visit some of the rooms in the actually palace, but there is also a museum that you can check out. If you ike this museum, also make sure to swing by the National Museum. This museum in specific is focused mainly on presenting the history of Denmark and will take you on a journey from the early beginnings of the Danish culture all the way to the present.
You can also check out the longest pedestrian street in the world, Stroget. There are many shops and places to visit along this path. It is a very good mid day idea to take a stroll here. You can find everything from large brand names stores to small local boutiques. Another must see destination I Denmark is the Kronborg Castle, which is where Shakespeare's Hamlet took place.
There is just so much to do in Denmark, that you might have issues deciding on just a few things. Be sure to plan out plenty of time in advance, but leave a little room for spontaneity.
