Dare to be Beautiful in a Blue Prom Dress by Shanusha
Blue is back as the hottest color! I saw celebrities step out on the red carpet in their blue gowns, and I knew I had to search for blue prom dresses to step out in style myself too! There are so many hues of blue to suit every skin color and lots of different designs and variations to choose from. So if you're a lover of this cool color as I am, it's time to look for some prom dresses in this heavenly color. I was totally satisfied with my choice and I think you'll be too!
When I saw Halle Berry step out in a long, blue gown, I immediately started searching for some long blue prom dresses for my big night. After all, formal occasions are the times when you can pull off some long dresses and look really appropriate, right? I loved Bcbg's long dress in a bright cobalt blue that I knew would totally make everyone focus on me from the moment I stepped into the room. DJ Jazz also had a long blue dress in a more undercut, dark blue which would totally flatter girls with deep blue eyes. These long dresses got me excited about the heels that I could wear underneath them to make my legs look model-length!
But why limit my search to just long dresses, I thought, when I've got some legs I can show off? After all, I've worked hard to shape these babies up for prom! So I searched for some sexy, shorter styles and was pleasantly surprised and my findings. Jovani had the hottest dress that cut off right at mid-thigh and would help highlight the tan I've been working on all spring. Alyce Designs had a slightly longer cut that landed right above the knees for a more demure look that still screamed sexiness. I knew I could also showcase some killer heels in the shorter dresses and make a lasting impression.
The length of the dress was not the only thing I was concerned with, since there were lots of styles for the top of the dress as well! I preferred halter tops for more casual occasions, but I'd been dying to wear a strapless gown for my special night. I wanted to look elegant and feminine with a graceful neckline that I could grace with some pearls that I had saved just for the occasion. With a perfect up-do and some drop pearl earrings, I knew I would look like a goddess in a strapless dress. You should totally go for this look as it would definitely keep the attention on you all night.
Finally, if you want some fancy touches on your dress, why not consider some extra embellishments such as a sash or a bow? A sash that cinches at your waist would show off your curves and a bow emphasizes your fun personality. No matter which decoration you decide to go with, I'm sure you'll find a blue prom dress to suit your fancy. I know I did, and I don't regret my decision a bit ' I can't wait for you to make yours!
