What's a cheap store to find dainty/vintage clothes?

I love classic and feminine looks. I'm just really into that look that's different but still obviously very feminine. Also, I like to add fun bright pieces on top of all the pastels.
Oh, and yes, I DO know about Modcloth, Forever21, Urban Outfitters (too expensive), and J. Crew (yet again too pricey).
You should try looking at local thrift stores. I've found pretty cool stuff before. I love vintage looks like that too and know how stupidly expensive online stuff is.
