Living with stainless steel bars,pins or plates?
Back in '97 I was in a really bad car wreck. Because of it I have a steel bar from my right shoulder to my right elbow,a plate with 7 pins in it in my right lower leg,and pins & a small plate in my right ankle. My ankle doesn't bend like a normal one should.It hurts extremely bad.
I have tried several really strong pain killers and anti-inflamatory drugs,but nothing seems to help. Can anyone reccommend something that works for them?

Missy,Tomb Raider here,I'm from Michigan.I feel for you with having all the hardware in your body,I live on Migraine Excedrin every day for all of my aches and pains,I have had several pain relievers as well and none seem to work for me.It's winter time here and when it's cold it seems as if I experience more pain.I truly think that you are a candidate for medicinal marijuana,I know that you mentioned that you smoke to help relieve the pain and if it helps you to be more comfortable and feel less pain then I think it's your only alternative to turn to.I have even gone as far as receiving cortisone shots and it's only a temporary fix at best.I was told that if my hip that I broke was really hurting me that they could remove the pins,but I just don't want to go down that road again.I think if you and I were to ever go through a metal detector we would get nailed.Wish I could offer you more advice as to what to do to relieve your pain,the only thing that I can suggest is to take supplements and they also make joint pills that they have out now by Nature Made called Triple Flex,this may help lubricate your joints and make you more comfortable,I also take a good vitamin B complex and Omega fish oil capsules as well,you can view this product that I mentioned above at http://www.tripleflex.com I hope this is of some help to you,be sure to watch Ghost Hunter's tonight and keep the paranormal section alive,I look for you all of the time,take care Missy,I hope this helps you out in some way,your buddy Tomb Raider.
