For locations that have multiple flags from different countries, ensure the other countries are at an equal height. This setup signifies that we are at peace.

If you decide to hang your flag in a window, rather than going through the trouble of purchasing flag pole parts, rods, decorations and such, then just make sure that the blue area of the American flag (also called the union) appears like it is on the left if somebody is viewing it from the outside.

If you want to display the flag outdoors, but you don't have any of the flagpole hardware aside from the pole itself, then you may need to check on the internet to find the best offers. You might need the rope pully system, you might want an eagle to set on top of the flag pole, or you might require a new latch that should connect the string to the flag. No matter what you need, you can probably find it less expensive online than if you were to go to a bricks-and-mortar retailer.

Besides the national flag, there are various patterns for custom flags that you could pick for your company or local sports team. The companies that produce these flags usually can incorporate your style and design into a banner, tear drop flag or even a flag for your automobile.

In terms of flag etiquette, the main guidelines that apply are for the national or state flags. For custom flags, such as the ones you might use for your business, how you treat them is up to you. However, keep in mind, the better you take care of your custom flags, the longer they'll last and the nicer they will appear.
